I just upgraded the JavaScript library we use to display image carousels from Lightbox2 to Lightbox3, written by the same author. This was mainly motivated by an issue on (Android) phones in horizontal mode, where the photos would be displayed smaller than the available screen space allowed.

The new version has many advantages, including support for arbitrary aspect-ratio photos, zooming, panning, and touch input. Additionally, Lightbox3 is completely stand-alone, requiring no dependencies, which is nice.

So far, Lightbox3 seems to work well in my tests on the Brave, Firefox, and Google Chrome browsers.

The only minor issue that I encountered is that if you specify Lightbox3 options, you must do it like this:

Lightbox3.Lightbox.init({ ... });

Enjoy!
